Dubbed Champagne's 'Golden Cuvee', Blanc de Blancs is Champagne's most enigmatic and rare wine. Because of the great demand for the region's prized Chardonnay, less than 5% of Champagne produced in the region is made in the 100% Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs style. Vineyards and Winemaking: For Armand de Brignac, these grapes are selected from only the finest vineyards in La Marne, including Grand Cru - rated villages like Cramant, Avize, Oger, and Choilly, and Premier Cru towns including Ludes, Rilly-la-Montagne, Villers Allerand, Taissy, Villers Marmery, and Mareuil-sur-Ay. The family, owners of Champagne vineyards since 1763, craft Armand de Brignac entirely by hand with a staff of just eight people, including father-and-son winemakers. Tasting Notes: Beautiful pale gold Chardonnay Champagne produced in the traditional, old world style, from grape to glass. Bouquet is light and clear, with youthful fruit notes and floral accents. Remarkably delicate and pure structure, with a bright, clear onset and long, lingering finish.
