Benrinnes is an active Speyside distillery founded in 1835 made most famous for its unique triple distillation method. While this has since been discontinued, it was used during the bottling of this limited release Speyside gem. The Benrinnes 21 year old 1992 is a traditional single malt whisky much admired by collectors and scotch whisky lovers alike.
Benrinnes 21 Year OldTasting Notes
Nose: Big, bold and ballsy. Peanuts dipped in a little Marmite, moving into literally all of the Eat Me Dates, Coco Pop cakes and a small book of struck matches.
Palate: The entry is just as big as the first whiff, with some darker, slightly burnt dried fruits now. Allspice and chocolate too, still fairly dense and savoury though.
Finish: Long, more of the same.
