Macallan Fine Oak 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whiskey 700mL 43% ABV

Macallan Fine Oak 21 Year Old is an exquisite expression. Considered by some to be superior to the 30 year old, this citrus, vanilla and fruity age statement Single Malt is something to savour. Matured in a mixture of European Oak Sherry casks and American Oak Bourbon casks, it has an unmistakeable unique quality. Macallan Fine Oak 21 Year Old comes boxed in a gorgeous wooden display box. The Macallan is a brand of single malt Scotch whisky first distilled in 1824 at The Macallan Distillery near Easter Elchies House, at Craigellachie, in Moray. Only 16% of the final distillation from the spirit stills is taken to fill into the oak casks. They only take the best of the best. The Macallan spends more on sourcing, building, seasoning and caring for its casks than any other single malt whisky. The rich range of colours in The Macallan whiskies is drawn only from the wood of the exceptional oak casks.

Awards & Praise

"A cracker, typical of old (and older style) Speyside. 9/10." - Dave Broom, Whisky Magazine.
Macallan Fine Oak 21 Year Old Tasting Notes and Awards Colour & Appearance: A golden amber. Long legs. Nose: Intense and rich with a hint of vanilla and passion fruit. Palate: Soft, rich and spicy with a hint of oranges and peat. The bourbon is prominent and pleasant. Finish: Medium-length with elements of pleasant spiced oak.
Serving Suggestions: The distillers themselves recommend drinking this straight, with water, or on the rocks for the best flavours possible.
