Russian Standard Platinum Vodka is Silver filtered for smoothness. The vodka is filtered to cleanse the liquid of impurities and to achieve absolute transparency. Russian birch charcoal filters have a catalytic quality, forming esters that help to mellow the taste and bring up the aroma to eliminate sharp burn or bitter notes in the after taste. Russia's Urals Mountains quartz crystal filtration process creates static electricity that alters the molecular structure to give the vodka a smoother taste. Russian Standard then use silver, which is an effective antimicrobial agent, to further refine the vodka.

Water like appearance. The nose shows sweet, grainy top notes, a touch of lemon peel, marshmallow and mint. The palate is thick, oily and very sweet with a very simple flavour profile. Clean finish. Very short, sweet aftertaste.
