Each cask of The Balvenie 15 Year Old Scotch Whisky imparts slightly different flavour notes that overlay the mellow, rich and full flavoured character of matured Balvenie malt whisky. From the moment the traditional oak cask is filled, it remains undisturbed in the Balvenie warehouses to mature at its own pace. Every year the Malt Master carefully samples those casks that have achieved at least fifteen years of maturation. The Malt Master's skill and experience enable him to determine which casks have developed the most interesting and individual character at that age. It is only these casks which are selected for bottling as The Balvenie Single Barrel. Each bottle is one of a limited edition of no more than 650 hand numbered bottles.
