Freycinet Vineyards site was cleared in 1978, and in 1979 the first vines wer planted and the first commerical winery was established on the East Coast. The family-owned Freycinet Vineyard is recoginsied by collectors as the msot cinsistent and distinguished producer of ultra fine Tasmanian Pinoy Noir.
