The prices in Burgundy have sky-rocketed so it is no wonder lovers of wines made from Pinot Noir are looking further afield to slake their thirst. At Virgin Wines, we have been extolling the virtues of the Pinot from Romania as a great value and quality alternative for a number of years and in 2017 we decided to up the ante with an exclusive project to produce a Burgundian-slayer. The grapes grow at the base of the slopes on the estate, utilising their finest Pinot vineyard to achieve our goal. The finished wine is joyous. Layered with lovely red fruit, sweet oak and an enviable freshness.
