These whiskies are distinctly Japanese, with unique sandalwood flavours contributed by the use of Mizunara, a very rare Japanese oak. Another unique quality of this whisky is that it has been filtered through bamboo charcoal. Rather than removing significant amounts of flavour, this process creates a softer spirit with sweeter tones and more mineral expression.
