Mackey First Release Tasmanian Single Malt Whisky is rarity of Australian whisky of the highest order! Mackey Single Malt Whisky draws on the rich tradition of Irish Whisky - a nod to the heritage of its maker Dean Mackey. Made with pure Tasmanian mountain water and 100% premium malted barley from the Tasmanian midlands , it combines the special character of Tasmanian whisky with the silkiness that comes from triple distillation. Mackey Whisky offers a distinctive complexity which will appeal to the connoisseur, but is gentle and smooth enough for the whisky novice to enjoy.

Aged for 6 years in a 100 litre port cask. Laid down in 2009 in cask 001 and bottled in 2016.  Only 125 bottles and each one is hand numbered. This will be one of the great collectable items of Australian whisky history. Big things are coming for Mackey and Shene Estate Distillery!!
