Penfolds Grange Bin 95 1997 750mL
Penfolds Grange Bin 95 1997 - 96% Shiraz, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Coonawarra and Magill Estate, matured for 20 months in new American oak hogsheads. Gloriously, splendiferously complex. There are so many layers of flavour it's labyrinthine, yet you never lose the thread, the path, of the wine. Austerity is not a term often used with Grange, but it's here, and to the benefit of the wine. 99 points
Tasting Notes: The medium-deep crimson wine is rich with aromas of stone fruit, woody and earthy notes. The palate is saturated with dark fruits, herbs and mocha coffee notes. It finishes strongly with excellent drive.
Cellaring: Drink from 2019 up until 2030.
Excellent condition. Professionally stored. Please read our blog about Penfolds Grange.
