Its robe is coppery. Its nose gives ripe prune aromas and dry fruits. Its mouth is smooth with some rancio notes.
About Castarede:
Founded in 1832 under Napoléon III, Castarède is the oldest Armagnac trading house in existence. Baron Haussmann who was the sub-prefect of Nérac, initially encouraged their ancestors to become the first traders in the register of commerce.
