Dom Perignon P2 1998 Tasting Notes

THE HARVEST: Grapes survived the spectacular head of August, followed by two grey and rainy weeks in September. Miracuous spell of good weather after that, allowing a great harvest, starting on September 21 with ripe and healthy grapes. THE NOSE: The wine had an intense, full and radiant bouquet, with notes of honeysuckle, orange coloured fruits and hints of iodines sensations. THE PALATE: The creamy chewiness characterising the vintage is channeled in a direction that is edgy yet embracing with a wave of aromatic persistence. Smoky, biting and full of energy finish balances it all out.
