Founded in 1854 by Aloyse Meyer, Domaine Josmeyer is now a key Alsace player in Byodynamic wines. The combined calcareous and marl soils of Hengst tend to produce rich full bodied wines.
A dry Riesling, a just a little residual sugar - with an exotic and aromatic character, which reveals rose and apricot as well as mineral and smoked flavours. Its structure is open, rich and ample. Both concentrated and fine, it has a long finish.
Serve with fine seafish: bar, turbot, elbot, skate, monkfish and more. Likes lobster and crayfish. Try it with sushi. Enhances the saltiness of aged cheeses such old counties, Gouda or Parmesan.
