McPherson Bella's Pinot Grigio 750mL

WINEMAKING / VITICULTURE NOTES
Fruit for the Pinot Grigio was picked from our vineyards based in the Murray Darling. The juice was run off the skins early, in order to extract only the perfect amount of colour and then inoculated and fermented cool. This allowed the retention of the summer berry characters, as well as retaining colour and intensity. Post fermentation the wine was fined, cold stabilised and filtered, ready for bottling. The entire process from juice to bottle was less than ten weeks, keeping the wine fresh and vivacious.

HARVEST NOTES
It’s a wrap for another season and once again Mother Nature has dished us out a few challenges! Due to an extremely hot January vintage began a week or two later than normal, and once we got picking whites and reds rolled in at a cracking pace. White yields were lower than anticipated whilst reds were on par with previous years. Overall it was another great vintage with bright and fresh whites and beautifully coloured, rich reds.

WINE DESCRIPTION
Bella’s Pinot Grigio is a fresh, fruit driven wine with slightly savoury flavours of pear and citrus. It has a lovely pale, straw-like colour with some golden hues thrown in. The texture of our Pinot Grigio is worth noting, as it has very smooth and almost silk-like overtones that leave an impression on the palate. This wine is a great all-rounder!
